2020/21  Dr. Terry Koltek – Les Marmitons Winnipeg

Terry first heard of Les Marmitons while attending a dental meeting in Quebec City in 2005. He was so interested in the concept that he attended a dinner meeting in Toronto the following month. The seed was sown.

Terry got in touch with J.P. Jobin and after multiple phone calls lasting many hours, Terry went off to hold three dinner meetings following the LMI protocol, ultimately applying for membership and founding the Winnipeg chapter after attending the LMI meeting in Atlanta.

In the years since, Terry has introduced many to friendship through gastronomy while making Les Marmitons Winnipeg an important contributor to our community. The chapter hosts an annual holiday dinner at no charge for approximately two hundred marginalized people in the community around our university kitchen. It also funds an annual scholarship for a Red River College Culinary Arts student.

Thanks to Terry exhibiting the spirit of J.P. Jobin in his work with our chapter, countless lives have been made richer, whether through membership or community involvement.
